I currently am the Youth Director at a Chinese Church here in Oregon. And today is Chinese New Year. So welcome to the year of the Snake and happy New Year!!!
Here is a bit of a definition: the Chinese festival marking the start of the
new year, beginning on the second new moon after the winter solstice and
ending on the full moon fifteen days later. It is marked by visits to
family and friends, special meals, fireworks, and gift giving. Also called Spring Festival.
Note: not my picture...pilfered it off the Internets.

Validation
Also showed the students this one. This is a great conversation starter for how to make a difference in the world we live in. And how we should live out our daily lives.
